On Tuesday, April 18, a press conference for the Orienteering World Cup took place in Česká Lípa. Many great sport events will be held in Česká Lípa in 2023, we can say that this year will be the year of sports. At the beginning of August, Česká Lípa will for the first time in its history host Orienteering World Cup.

Jitka Volfová, the mayor of the city, is happy that Česká lípa will be able to host the top orienteering event and that they can build on the successful World Orienteering Championship that was held in this region in 2021. World Cup Director Jan Picek presented the project “Česká Lípa lives with orienteering”, within a number of events will be held for schools, public and orienteering beginners.
