Training
Training for the World Cup in Czechia is here to help the teams to get familiar with the terrain. Through relevance towards fairness. We will provide relevant maps, competitions and also accommodation and logistic hints. Feel free to contact us anytime you need.

Areas and training maps
1 – Lachovice, 2 km NE from Vyšší Brod, surveyed by Zdeněk Sokolář, Ondřej Prášil and Robert Miček in 2025. Available from September 2025. Mapped area: 2.6 km2, preview. Relevant terrain and mapping style for OWC26.
Also available with a middle course training (no flags), set by Radim Hošek (OWC 26 Middle final course setter). Course parameters: M 5.1 km / 245 m / 17 c; W 4.3 km / 215 m / 13 c.
2 – Luč, 6 km W from Vyšší Brod, surveyed by Ondřej Prášil in 2026. Available since June 26. Mapped area: 1.3 km2. Relevant terrain and mapping style for OWC26.
3 – Napoleonova hlava, 40 km NE from Vyšší Brod, surveyed by Zdeněk Sokolář, Jan Drbal in 2016, revised in 2022. Available in 20/7-4/8 only (!!!). Mapped area 3.2 km2, preview. Relevant terrain and mapping style for OWC26.
4 – Lipno-Kramolín, 11 km W from Vyšší Brod, surveyed by Roman Horký and Jiří Vištejn in 2015, revised in May 2026.Mapped area 1.8 km2, preview. Within walking distance from the offered accommodation.

- price level A: 40 EUR for ocd file + 4 EUR per competitor at a training unit
- price level B: 30 EUR for ocd file + 4 EUR per competitor at a training unit

Basic rules to follow
- All training activities shall be coordinated with the organizers. Don’t run sessions without previous e-mail confirmation. Please do respect this basic condition of our cooperation with landowners and authorities.
- Don’t do NIGHT ORIENTEERING – might cause us troubles.
- Don’t leave any MARKING at controls any longer than necessary – please leave the forests clean when travelling home!
- (!) Never DRIVE THROUGH THE FOREST by car outside public roads. According to the Czech law a special permission is needed when driving on forest roads.
- PARK your cars at the recommended spots displayed on the training maps. Help us maintain fragile relations with forest owners, local citizens and authorities.
- 40 people is the MAXIMUM NUMBER of participants of a single training session.
Invoices will be issued after training camps, please confirm/revise the number of competitors at each training unit to determine the price. Play fair!

In case you consider the above list of maps insufficient, thanks to our collaboration with Austrian club NF Linz we also offer their maps – short travel distance, relevant terrains, rather old-fashioned and not relevant mapping style). These training areas are in Austria, different visa policy may apply for citizens outside EU / Schengen area !!!
