Spectators

Orienteering World Cup Czechia 2026 brings the elite orienteering world back to the forests! It is about time, we think. It is great that you have chosen to spend these exhilarating days with us. There are many ways to do so and we are sure there is something for everyone.

The best thing you can do is to enter the spectator GAPP Czech O-Tour races. There are four of them plus a bonus sprint prologue in Český Krumlov, the historic UNESCO town. And, yes, you will race through the most attractive parts of the town. The entries are still open (until 8th July) so sign up today. You will race from the same arena in the same terrains as the World Cup – everything comfortably in one place.

You can also just come and cheer for your favourite athletes. The arena will have a large screen with a live television feed, live commentary in English, GPS tracking along with catering, and more extra fun. It will be reachable by foot, by our special buses or, if need be, by a car. The instructions shall follow shortly.

Along the World Cup, there are many free events you don’t want to miss. Mark your calendars:

  • 4 August at 16:45, The Opening Ceremony, a concert (GLOW) and a new venku.app area opening. Vyšší Brod Town Square.
  • 7 August at 18:30, Czech Team Meet and Greet + autograph session, Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens.
  • 7 August at 19:00, Medal Ceremony in Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens with a concert (Mustang Bluesride).
  • 8 August at 19:00, Medal Ceremony in Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens with a concert (So Fine).

Don’t forget that South Bohemia where the World Cup is taking place is a haven for tourism, sports and pasttime. The Lipno dam is a great base for water sports, Šumava forests are great for hiking, many towns and cities are historic and well worth visiting. Your trip may be much more than just orienteering.

If you cannot come in person, you may still get the front seat – the World Cup will be streamed and televised. Czech TV will be covering all the finals, an online stream of the qualification will be provided by Czech Orienteering free of charge. Eurovisionsport.com will broadcast the coverage for free in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and USA. Further broadcasters, like SVT, YLE, NRK/Langrenn.com, TV8 Mont Blanc and SRG will be covering the event and so will IOF TV.
